ROCK CITY: Bustos Announces $200,000 Grant for Arrow Farm Meats LLC

Today, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) announced that Arrow Farm Meats LLC in Rock City, Illinois will receive a $200,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Meat and Poultry Inspection Readiness Grant program. Funds will be used to help the facility become compliant with USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service guidelines.

"Throughout our region and across the country, small meat processing facilities have been particularly hard hit by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. These facilities are essential to our food supply chain and our local economy," said Congresswoman Bustos. "As we work to support small meat processors, I'm thrilled that Arrow Farm Meats in Rock City will receive $200,000 in funding I voted for to improve their operation, create three new jobs and provide approximately 100 farmers with a new market for processing."
